My name is Collins and I was born in Kasarani in 2004. I have a family of one parent that is my beloved mum and 6 siblings including me. My mother was also born in Kasarani. My Mum really try to improve our living style and standard. But in all that struggle, my Mum hasn’t yet achieved her goal of satisfying our wants.
As known, a mother will do anything so that her children can live a happy life, even selling her body to bring her children to school and to raise them, and to have good shelter and clothing. All the basic needs.
Thank to God my Mum didn’t sell her body but did engage herself in illegal and dangerous way of getting money. This was selling of alcohol, which was illegal and drugs. But she really did that in tears and a lot of sorrows because she did not have other way. She sincerely never wanted her children to be like her but to live a good life in a Godly lifestyle.
I really wanted to change my mother’s life but I can’t. But I have a bright hope, this is my education and some people. These people include my lovely coach Samson, who really gives me a lots of hopes and gives me motivation of life. Coach Samson and the whole TAFA team are the greatest and most honest people I ever met in my life.
May God help TAFA and grant them a long-lasting life. The reason why TAFA is my role model is that, they bring an organisation in Kasarani for kids like me who are in hardship life to feel not abandoned and to get a smile on their face of happiness. I really love TAFA.
THANKS TAFA.
God help them and their organisation. With this hope I can achieve my goals to get my mother out of this jail. Jail of poverty and stigmatisation by other people toward my family.
I hope God will answer my prayers. I hope I can have my education without any problems of school fees till my last of education in the university. That is my dream. May God help my family and TAFA.
