My name is Duncan. I am seventeen years old. In my family we had both parents, but my father decided to abandoned us because of some challenges. The challenges were that there was no rent, no food and no school fees.

In our family we are three children and those two other children are following me, because my mother was left alone to take care of three children which she couldn’t manage because we lived in Kasarani where the lives of people was not good.

Since my father abandoned us the life that we had became so miserable, no food, no school fees, so that makes us not to join others in school.

My mother struggled until she got a job in a flower farm. The salary in that farm wasn’t enough to take us to school and buy food for all of us. That lead my siblings to drop out of school so that my mother would be able to pay for my school fees. I would help my siblings after school because the money wasn’t enough.

My career with TAFA started a few years back. I joined TAFA because my friends were going there every day and got motivation in life.

I joined TAF because the coaches advised and gave me the love which my father didn’t gave me. That makes me feel that TAFA is my second family.

I am still praying and hoping that God will open ways that I can have the school fees so that I can be able to complete my studies and help my mother.
